We Believe That..
- We are called to be a Place of Grace. We believe that we have been saved and called to be a gracious presence every moment of every day. .
- Worship is a celebration of God's grace in Jesus Christ in the Word as it is read, prayed, and preached; in Holy Baptism and in the weekly celebration of the Holy Eucharist; and in music, both sung and played. Because Christ is so gracious, we believe that worship is characterized, above all, by joy.
- Jesus Christ has richly blessed us, even though we don't deserve any of his blessings. Therefore, we believe that we are called to be a blessing to others - not only in our own congregation, but in our community, country, and throughout the world.
- God's grace in Christ frees us to grow ever deeper in faith. We are saved by God's grace, and not by the rightness of our answers or the correctness of our theology. Therefore, we are free to ask hard questions and wrestle honestly with our doubts in our pursuit of the truth.
- Christ cares for us in body and spirit, and cherishes each one of us. Therefore, we are called to care for and cherish one another - from the very youngest to the very oldest.
- Christ accepts each of us just as we are, and invites us to follow him each day. Therefore, we are called to tell others that Christ accepts us as we are, and to invite others to follow Christ in lives of faith and hope and love.
