| Director of Lay Ministry Cynthia Biddlecomb Cynthia@BethLuth.com Cynthia Biddlecomb is on the lay roster of the ELCA as an Associate in Ministry (AiM). She holds a 1991 Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Pacific School of Religion (PSR) in Berkeley, California—where she took 1/3 of her courses from the ELCA at Pacific Lutheran Theological School (PLTS). Cynthia’s 1977 undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in French from California Lutheran University (CLU) in Thousand Oaks. She grew up Carson, California, south of Los Angeles. Ms. Biddlecomb has served as Bethlehem’s Director of Lay Ministry since February of 2002. In this capacity, she works with our ministry teams and helps members to “find their fit” in God’s mission here at Bethlehem. She is a regular presence behind the altar, assisting with worship and communion most Sundays Cynthia moved to Los Alamos from Minnesota where she lived for nearly 8 years. Her most recent call was in the Twin Cities where she served Augsburg Fortress Publishers, the ELCA’s publishing partner, as a Development Editor, specializing in educational curriculum. Prior to Augsburg Fortress, she served five and a half years at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar, Minnesota, as Director of Christian Education. Her first call as an Associate in Ministry was to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco, California, where she oversaw Christian Education, Volunteer Coordination, and Communications. St. Mark’s was also her 1990-91 internship site.
